Zain Kuwait, the leading digital service provider in the country, announced a strategic partnership with Cisco to deliver secure, cloud-based, managed network solutions to enterprises of all sizes in Kuwait. This partnership aims at empowering a more efficient enterprise sector in Kuwait in alignment with the country's National Development Plan (New Kuwait 2035).

UAE-based telecommunications service provider EITC (du) has announced it has formalized an ongoing collaboration into a strategic partnership with Microsoft on an artificial intelligence program designed to empower employees, engage customers, optimize operations and streamline the delivery of products and services.

Under the auspices and in the presence of H.E. the Minister of Telecommunications Jamal Jarrah, Alfa, managed by Orascom TMT, and Ericsson launched the first of its kind e-waste recycling initiative in Lebanon. It involved the packing of 460 tons of expired electronic waste such as transmitters and antennas that were stored in Alfa warehouses. This e-waste material was placed in 35 containers and the process of exporting them to Sweden, where they will be recycled according to international standards, has started via the port of Beirut.

EITC (du), from Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (EITC), will build the first Blockchain Platform as a Service in UAE (BPaaS) in partnership with ConsenSys, the leading blockchain solutions provider and venture production studio building decentralized applications and offering an integrated set of solutions for the Ethereum blockchain ecosystem.

UAE telecommunications service provider - du, from Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company, and Nokia successfully demonstrate 5G capabilities through a virtual reality (VR) game at GITEX Technology Week 2018 in Dubai. Visitors at the event are able to experience the high speed and low latency of 5G through a football-related VR game.
