February is the month of mobile! Mobile World Congress has been held every February for enough years now that it has become “the month of mobile”.

Every year, the mobile industry waits until February to launch the best of mobility, whether it is a handset, software or solutions.

Mobile and mobility are not just conference topics; now, it’s trending our lives. Mobility changes lives and smart mobility affects us more and more.

So, what can we expect this year at MWC in Barcelona? 5G will be on top of the list with the first 5G chip announced by QUALCOMM. Spectrum standardization is expected before MWC next year, as 5G serves IoTs and smart cities.

There is an app hall and the launch of several new handsets.

The return of Nokia mobiles to the global market arrives, and these smart devices equipped with Android operating systems are sure to draw in crowds to the Nokia booth.

Huawei is expected to launch  a new update of its elegant smart devices, as well as provide its view of 5G and how Huawei will be at the forefront of this Industry.

Many operators will be attending MWC this year, showcasing their platforms to the industry and insisting on being “key” to mobility.

The internet of things, smart innovation and smart city solutions will be a big part of this year’s show, as new cities become based upon mobility and provide citizens with enjoyable services via mobile.

Thanks to all of the above, “mobile is next” – this was Telecom Review’s vision more than 10 years ago, with our slogan which states: Life goes MOBILE!
