mtc touch Held its Annual Media Iftar in Lebanon

Under the auspices of the Minister of Telecommunications Nicholas Sehnaoui, mtc touch held its annual media Iftar at the Four Seasons Hotel gathering media figures and industry representatives.

“The media Iftar has become an annual tradition to which the company strongly commits”, said Claude Bassil, General Manager of mtc touch, in his welcoming speech, adding that “the latter allows us to renew our appreciation towards the media, in recognition to their noble mission and vital role in society”.

Minister Sehnaoui highlighted the ministry’s current plans while promising several upcoming achievements that will revolutionize the mobile telecommunications sector. “We will develop and modernize the sector in compliance with the highest quality standards of the 21st century. We will also work to resolve the sector’s main problems, offer added value services and new products, as well as upgrade the networks. Our ultimate objective is to provide all citizens, regardless of their location, with the best mobile services against gradually decreased cost,” he said.

mtc touch’s media iftar precedes the forthcoming launching of the 3G services in Lebanon, which will be offered in full collaboration with the Ministry of Telecommunication. mtc touch will have 50 LTE (Long Term Evolution) enabled sites providing a 4G telecom experience, ranking Lebanon among the very few countries in the world to have this technology; while partially basing its network on state-of-the-art technology including 3.9G HSPA+ with a speed of up to 42 megabits per second.
