Infobip, a global communications and leading customer experience platform, has concluded a strategic agreement with Zain Jordan that will see the leading Middle East and Africa telecom operator elevate their offer with Infobip’s Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS) and Software-as-a-Services (SaaS) solutions to the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) market.

With SMEs increasingly citing fast, reliable communication systems as one of their top two ICT improvement priorities, the agreement enables Zain to meet this need by including Infobip’s Communications Platform and Software solutions in its product portfolio.

Telecom operators can benefit from Infobip’s solutions by growing their telco and ICT revenue, says Ala Shakhshir, partner growth manager from Infobip, adding: “Our digital-first communication solutions and channel portfolio help telcos boost their revenue and introduce new revenue streams by expanding their core business offering, which will lead to an increase in profit margin.

“Infobip’s solutions allow telcos to combine innovative, connected and emerging communication technologies and products to increase average revenue per user and attract new clients who are using competitors’ telco services.”

Increasingly, the SME market segment is becoming a key focus area for telcos as a source of new revenue growth potential through the uptake of innovative communication solutions by small businesses. According to Zain Jordan, the SME space offers low entry barriers to telco operators, as well as a simpler onboarding process for clients and a faster return on investment than the enterprise market.

“By offering Infobip’s solutions to the SME market, Zain is positioned to help businesses adjust to their customer’s preferred way of interaction, allowing them to create greater experiences throughout their customer’s journey,” according to Zain Jordan.
