Turkcell has selected Ericsson as its partner to manage and operate its mobile and fiberoptic fixed network, which includes microwave links and covers all technologies from 2G to 4G/LTE, continuing the long-term partnership between the two companies. Ericsson is now Turkcell's exclusive managed services partner in the Marmara region, which includes Istanbul.

TECOM Group, a member of Dubai Holding, through a one-of-its-kind partnership with Dubai Creative Clusters Authority (DCCA), has announced the opening of an axs smart services centre. The fully-integrated services centre will act as the nucleas of a new customer engagement model intended to make it easier to do business for 4,600 business partners across nine of the Group's business parks. The creation of the new axs centre, in alignment with Dubai's vision, represents a new benchmark for partners to access government, corporate and employee services.

Ericsson commissioned a detailed survey of 100 technology leaders from operators in North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, and Central and Latin America with the aim to learn more about operators' expectations, use cases and plans for 5G. Respondents included COOs, CTOs and CIOs, as well as heads of network operations, network innovation and network development.

More than 100 ICT regulators, industry leaders and experts from over 20 countries of the African continent gathered for the co-hosting high caliber event by Ministry of Communication Technologies and Digital Economy Tunisia and Huawei Technologies North Africa. It was the first time for such ministerial-spotlighted event to happen in Tunisia, the ICT hub envisioned by the Digital Agenda 2020. Held in the beautiful seashore city Hammamet, the theme of event is centering on "Building a Better Connected Africa," which aimed at communicating national ICT practices, exploring ICT trends and how the governmental entities and enterprises of different industries can collectively achieve the goal of national digitalization.
