Nokia has been selected by Zain Jordan in a multi-year deal to supply 5G Radio Access Network (RAN) equipment throughout Jordan. Through the deal, Zain will be able to support the digital transformation of the country by offering superior 5G services with enhanced connectivity and capacity to customers. A major part of the deployment is expected to be completed in 2023.

Huawei reported 35.6 billion yuan ($5.12 billion) in net profits in 2022, a drop of 68.7% as compared to 2021 (113.7 billion yuan) in its annual report. The company generated 642.3 billion yuan ($92.37 billion) in revenue. During a press conference, Huawei said that it would continue to strengthen investment in R&D, with an annual expenditure of 161.5 billion yuan ($23.22 billion) in 2022, representing 25.1% of the company's annual revenue and bringing its total R&D expenditure over the past 10 years to more than 977.3 billion yuan ($140.55 billion).

Cisco announced the appointment of Ossama Eldeeb as its new regional director for Partner Organization in the Middle East and Africa. Ossama is taking over from his predecessor, Abdelilah Nejjari, who was recently appointed as Cisco’s managing director for the Gulf region.
