The influential and impactful participation of du, from Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (EITC), at the 40th GITEX Technology Week scaled even greater heights today as Saleem AlBlooshi, the company’s Chief Technology Officer, was a leading figure on an insightful panel discussion.

Titled ‘Operator strategies to maximize 5G value and commercial success,’ the session was centered around how competing with 5G networks will require operators to leverage new solutions to achieve the best operational efficiency and cost-savings.

The panel explored tools availability in the market, analyzed their compatibility with a convergence of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), cloud with 5G edge computing, WiFi6, network slicing, and virtualization, and established ways in which they can deliver superior network planning and utilization moving forward.

The session was an overarching success, providing attendees with a host of fresh perspectives concerning the topic. Saleem AlBlooshi was joined in a panelist capacity by Mohamed Madkour, Vice President, Global Wireless Networks Marketing and Solutions, Huawei; Fadi Pharaon, Senior Vice President and Head of Market Area MEA, Ericsson; and Saeed Al Zarouni, Senior Vice President, Mobile Network, Etisalat.
