Nokia has announced that its IP routing technology has been selected for Informatics and Telecommunications Public Company (ITPC) – one of the companies of Iraq’s Ministry of Communication (MoC) – to serve as the main backbone of the country's internet infrastructure.

With many academic models reexamined during 2020, Huawei has previewed a series of digital transformation solutions to support continuous learning and quality education in the Middle East over the coming years. The company’s expanded Smart Education portfolio was unveiled in the Middle East during GITEX Technology Week and has been demonstrated to government and non-governmental organizations throughout the exhibition.

On his first results day since taking the reins of the Finnish networks giant in August, Pekka Lundmark, CEO and president of Nokia promised to do “whatever it takes” to become the 5G market leader and announced a move to a more focused approach as the company vies for 5G market share against competitors Ericsson and Huawei.

During this year’s GITEX Technology Week 2020, Huawei has announced that it will be collaborating with partners from around the world to showcase how public and private enterprises in the Middle East can create greater value through synergy across five tech domains.

At the Huawei Cloud Summit Middle East 2020 held online today, Huawei executives shed light on the company’s CLOUD strategy, the value of data released in the digital economy, and its role in contributing to the region’s ongoing digitization efforts. The virtual summit was attended by customers, partners, industry experts, and thought leaders from across the Middle East region.

Huawei announced its business results for the first three quarters of 2020. During this period, Huawei generated CNY671.3 billion in revenue, an increase of 9.9% over the same period last year. The company's net profit margin in this period was 8.0%. Throughout the first three quarters of 2020, Huawei's business results basically met expectations.
