Etisalat Group has announced its consolidated financial statements for the year ending December 31 2019. According to the report, twelve month consolidated revenues reached to AED 52.2 billion, while consolidated net profit after Federal Royalty for the twelve month amounted to AED 8.7 billion, an increase of 1% compared to same period last year.

The Réseaux IP Européens Network Coordination Centre (RIPE NCC) recently held a training program for Mobile Operators, Internet Service Providers (ISPs), and other stakeholders from public and private sectors in Lebanon. The attendees met at the Intercontinental Phoenicia hotel to spend three days together learning how to work with Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) and deploy it on their networks.

2019 saw the introduction of WiFi 6 certified products, the deployment of shared spectrum, availability of 5G handsets and service in select cities in the region, and an uptick in interest for private networks.
