Nokia announced two new software-as-a-service (SaaS) services in the areas of security and analytics, as part of its strategy to give communication service providers (CSPs) and enterprises a more flexible and cost-effective way for servicing their customers, and operating and monetizing their networks, as advanced 5G services are rolled out.

Nokia reported a solid increase in profits in 2021 and issued a confident outlook for the coming years as sales rose despite supply problems. "I would like to call it a transformational year," CEO Pekka Lundmark commented after the group posted a net profit of 1.6 billion euros ($1.8 billion), driven by a 1.6 % increase in sales to 22.2 billion euros.

The Rosenberger Group announced the spinoff of its antenna and coverage solution product portfolio with a new brand entity, PROSE. The strategic focus of PROSE will be towards the development of base station antennas, microwave antennas, indoor and outdoor coverage solutions, Open RAN sub-systems, and related services.
