MEF Forum organized the first episode of its Infinite Edge Series to discuss the topic of digital transformation. Speakers shared valuable insight on powerful hybrid networking solutions that provide unprecedented user- and application-directed control over network, security, and service capabilities.

World-leading service and technology experts explored how business strategies, service portfolios, provider networks, and workforces are being transformed to deliver more customized, high-performance, cloud-friendly services optimized for the digital economy.

The first two sessions entitled “executives in conversation” included interviews with Marc Halbfinger, CEO, PCCW Global – interviewed by MEF’s own Nan Chan – and Eric Cevis, president, Verizon Partner Solutions – interviewed by Telecom Review’s Christine Ziadeh.

Both interviews tackled different angles of digital transformation and the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. The industry experts shared interesting insight on how they are serving their customers in such tumultuous times.

Pascal Menezes, CTO, MEF gave an important presentation on MEF’s efforts deployed in the digital transformation space and highlighted the most recent developments and projects that the organization is working on.

During Episode 1 of MEF’s Infinite Edge Series, speakers explored how customers increasingly will be able to mix and match next-generation overlay and underlay services, feature sets, and virtual network functions to address their application performance, cost, and other requirements. In addition, they highlighted how service providers can take advantage of new programmable, automated, and open networking solutions to activate on-demand services, provide real-time visibility and service assurance across hybrid networks; guarantee application performance; and manage complexity in rapidly evolving, distributed cloud environments.
