UAE satellite communications company Thuraya will be showcasing its airborne satellite communications service, Thuraya Aero, and meeting with officials from the aerospace sector at the upcoming Singapore Airshow held from February 6th - 11th at the Changi Exhibition Centre.

Yahsat, a leading satellite operator based in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has entered into an agreement to acquire a majority stake in the mobile satellite services operator Thuraya, also based in the UAE, subject to final pre-closing conditions being met.

Thuraya's delegation met with international peers from commercial, government and military sectors at the 34th Space Symposium in Colorado, USA. The delegation headed by Fahad Kahoor, Director of Market Development, alongside partners from SRT Wireless and Scotty, gave an overview on the development of the Aero services at Thuraya and the impact it will have on the company's growth and future strategies.

Dubai-based mobile satellite communications company Thuraya welcomed international and regional delegates from Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, the GCC and North America to its 16th annual partner conference in Dubai on April 10-11. The company launched its new X5-Touch satellite pone which runs on the Android Operating System and has a 5.2" full HD touchscreen.

UAE-based Al Yah Satellite Communications Company (Yahsat) and IEC Telecom Group have unveiled their latest humanitarian mission's satellite solution, YahClick Wi-Fi, at this year's 15th edition of Dubai International Humanitarian Aid and Development Conference and Exhibition (DIHAD).

Participating in CABSAT 2018 satellite expo in Dubai, satellite operator Yahlive and Direct-to-Home (DTH) operator Entertainment and Reality TV Hub (EARTH) announced the addition of 35 TV channels, catering to the South Asian viewers in the GCC, in a bid to curb piracy and support efforts to eliminate illegal viewing platforms in the region.
