The latest edition of the Ericsson Mobility Report forecasts that there will be 550 million 5G subscriptions in 2022. North America will lead the way in uptake of 5G subscriptions, where a quarter of all mobile subscriptions are forecast to be for 5G in 2022.

Ericsson commissioned a detailed survey of 100 technology leaders from operators in North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, and Central and Latin America with the aim to learn more about operators' expectations, use cases and plans for 5G. Respondents included COOs, CTOs and CIOs, as well as heads of network operations, network innovation and network development.

Turkcell has selected Ericsson as its partner to manage and operate its mobile and fiberoptic fixed network, which includes microwave links and covers all technologies from 2G to 4G/LTE, continuing the long-term partnership between the two companies.
