The telecommunications and digital government regulatory authority (TDRA) has announced the launch of the UAE Verify platform, which allows government and private entities to verify the authenticity of digital documents issued by government authorities on an immediate basis and without the need for an original hard copy.

With regards to the circulated news on the suspension of some flights to certain US airports due to 5G deployment, the telecommunications and digital government regulatory authority (TDRA) clarifies that this issue is exclusively related to the US airports referred to.

The most-awaited 5G C-band deployment in the US will remain limited after leading airline groups plead that 5G is deployed not too close (approximately 2 miles) from airport runaways until the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) can determine how its full implementation can be done without catastrophic disruption.

The Organization of the Islamic Cooperation-Computer Emergency Response Team (OIC-CERT) 5G security working group (WG), co-chaired by CyberSecurity Malaysia, the OIC-CERT permanent secretariat, and Huawei UAE, an OIC-CERT commercial member, has completed the core OIC-CERT 5G security framework in less than eight months after the initiative was launched.
